I had the pleasure of working with Jonathan for 2 summers at Jacobs Pillow. Always an ambassador of dance the process seemed to thrill him. The staff respected him and students adored him. I'll never forget his infectious smile and shall he always be at home in the heart of the dance.

As you might imagine, I've seen the brightest lights of our field on stage and in the studio. Jonathan was special. He BELIEVED in dance, and gave 100% of himself to it. He set an example, and elevated everyone's spirit at the Pillow through his dedication and truly sweet soul. Ella Baff Executive Director Jacob's Pillow

From the day I met you in Donald Byrd's company (1991), you thrilled me! So vivacious, so talented, so intelligent, and so BEAUTIFUL! I loved you that first day, and I will remember you with love, forever.

I met Jonathan through our friend Christine when I was home from Temple on Winter Break in 1983. He was doing a production of Equus at some theatre in Harrisburg. He was my first bf. We had a short, but intense relationship, but managed to stay in touch over the years to check-in with each other. I remember one of our dates to the movies (Yentil) in midst of a Central PA blizzard and of him performing with Alvin Ally at UCLA when I lived in California. The planet was a brighter place with Jonathan's light. I miss him though he still lives in my heart.
